Clinical Pharmacist in Dowagiac, MI

Two inpatient pharmacist positions are available at a hospital near Elkhart, IN (just outside South Bend, IN). This 13-week contract opportunity begins June 1 and offers the following shifts:

• Day Shift: 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM
• Day/Evening Shift: 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM

This role focuses on clinical inpatient pharmacy services within a hospital environment utilizing key pharmacy technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders using Cerner Meds Manager Order Verification system
• Manage inpatient pharmacy distribution using Cerner EMR and Pyxis systems
• Prepare IV medications including antibiotics, anticoagulants, and electrolytes in the IV room
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure safe and accurate medication dispensing

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Cerner order verification required
• Familiarity with inpatient hospital pharmacy operations, including IV preparation
• Experience using Cerner EMR, Pyxis, and Pharmacy Keeper systems
• Accepting new graduates who have Cerner order verification experience
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility
• Commitment to accuracy and patient safety
