Two direct hire opportunities are available for Clinical Pharmacists with expertise in controlled substances at a growing closed-door Long Term Care pharmacy in the Dublin, OH area. These positions support critical medication management for patient populations requiring specialized care and operate with an emphasis on narcotic control and safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and evaluate medication orders for accuracy, appropriateness, and potential drug interactions.
- Recommend therapy adjustments to physicians and long-term care facility staff as needed.
- Manage and maintain patient medication records, including clinical history and laboratory data.
- Address and resolve medication-related inquiries, collaborating closely with nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Supervise preparation and dispensing of medications following strict adherence to legal and safety protocols.
- Maintain controlled substance registers for regulatory compliance and ensure secure medication storage.
- Participate in on-call rotation to support pharmacy operations.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Licensed pharmacist with an active Ohio pharmacy license.
- Proven experience handling controlled drugs (narcotics) in a pharmacy setting.
- Strong clinical knowledge and attention to detail in medication therapy management.
- Excellent communication skills to facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Familiarity with Frameworks pharmacy system is preferred.
Position Details:
- Schedule options:
• 2nd Shift, Monday-Friday, 4:00 p.m. – 12:30 a.m., every other weekend
• 7 days on/7 days off, Monday-Sunday, 4:00 p.m. – 2:30 a.m. - Start date: Immediate availability preferred.
