An infusion center in the Duluth, GA area requires a Clinical Pharmacist with IV/Infusion expertise for a 13-week contract starting late April or early May. This position offers a flexible weekday schedule, with shifts available Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. or 12:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Accepting and dispensing prescription medications accurately and safely
  • Monitoring patient medication compliance and detecting over-usage trends
  • Ensuring medication supply and dispensing practices comply with legal regulations
  • Advising patients on medication usage, possible reactions, and answering inquiries
  • Compounding medications for both external and internal use, preparing sterile solutions per protocol
  • Supervising pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks, ensuring competency in sterile compounding processes
  • Maintaining confidential patient records and pharmaceutical inventories
  • Collaborating with healthcare practitioners to identify and resolve drug-related problems
  • Upholding USP 797 and USP 800 compliance standards for sterile compounding areas

Qualifications include:

  • Active Georgia pharmacist license (must be in-hand prior to start)
  • Prior experience with IV/Infusion pharmacy preferred and highly valued
  • Strong knowledge of sterile compounding procedures and regulatory requirements

Location: Duluth, GA (Greater Atlanta area)
