A clinical pharmacist position is available on a per diem basis, providing essential support within an inpatient hospital setting. This role focuses on delivering high-quality pharmacy services to a patient census of approximately 40 with high acuity, working closely with physicians, nurses, and pharmacy technicians to ensure optimal medication management and clinical support.

Schedule:

  • Consistent PRN coverage needed, 3-4 times per week
  • Weekday shifts: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Weekend shifts: 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM
  • Will coordinate closely with the existing pharmacist schedule
  • On-call availability preferred for 24/7 coverage support or as available

Location: Edmond, OK

Responsibilities:

  • Perform general inpatient pharmacy staffing duties including order verification and medication dispensing
  • Provide pharmacist oversight and support for pharmacy technicians
  • Collaborate regularly with physicians and nursing staff to address clinical needs
  • Offer clinical support and guidance as required to ensure safe and effective medication use
  • Utilize WellSky system and manage automation through Pyxis for medication distribution

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Active pharmacist license required
  • Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred
  • Flexibility to accommodate PRN and on-call schedule demands
  • Strong teamwork skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team

Team Environment:

  • Work alongside 2 pharmacists and 2 pharmacy technicians in a supportive team setting
