Per Diem Pharmacist Clinical | Edmond, Oklahoma

A healthcare facility in Edmond, OK, is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to provide per diem support within an inpatient setting. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a patient-centered team focused on high-acuity care, delivering clinical expertise and efficient pharmacy operations.

Schedule:

• Consistent PRN coverage needed, 3-4 times per week
• Weekday shifts: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Weekend shifts: 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM
• Will coordinate with current pharmacist schedules
• On-call availability preferred (24/7 coverage support ideal)

Responsibilities:

• Manage general inpatient pharmacy operations and staffing
• Verify medication orders accurately and promptly
• Provide pharmacist oversight and support to pharmacy technicians
• Collaborate closely with physicians and nursing staff for patient care
• Deliver clinical support as needed to optimize pharmacotherapy
• Utilize WellSky system and Pyxis automation for medication management

Qualifications:

• Active Pharmacist license required
• Prior hospital experience preferred for adapting to inpatient workflows
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and participate in PRN/on-call coverage
• Strong team-oriented mindset to support interdisciplinary collaboration

Team Environment:

• Work alongside 2 pharmacists and 2 pharmacy technicians
• Support a patient census of approximately 40, focusing on complex cases
