Full Time Infusion Pharmacist – Direct Hire Opportunity

Location: Elk Grove, CA
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM; on-call every 3rd weekend
Start Date: ASAP

This full-time role is ideal for a clinical pharmacist experienced in infusion therapy, offering a dynamic environment that emphasizes high-touch patient care and pharmacy production. Candidates with specialty pharmacy experience will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide compounding, dispensing, and clinical monitoring of chronic and acute infusion therapies as prescribed by physicians or authorized medical personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal pharmacy regulations and accreditation standards.
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff, maintaining adherence to established protocols.
  • Collaborate closely with nursing, intake/admissions, reimbursement, sales, and marketing teams to deliver efficient, patient-centered care and optimize clinical outcomes.
  • Support Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement initiatives actively, including training and orienting new pharmacy staff and precepting interns when needed.
  • Serve as a clinical resource for sales and marketing, assisting with customer presentations and review of clinical marketing materials.
  • Manage procurement and inventory control procedures in alignment with company policies.
  • Participate in product selection committees and support insurance authorization and reimbursement documentation processes.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and comply with state and federal reporting requirements, including controlled substances oversight.
  • Rotate on-call duties to provide continuous pharmacy support.
  • Demonstrate adherence to USP 797, USP 800 standards, and State Board of Pharmacy regulations.
  • Utilize pharmacy systems such as CPR+ and CareTend effectively.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Prior infusion pharmacy experience strongly preferred; specialty pharmacy experience considered.
  • Strong clinical knowledge of infusion therapies and regulatory compliance.
  • Proven supervisory skills with ability to lead pharmacy technicians and support personnel.
  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills for cross-departmental teamwork.
