This direct hire opportunity is for a full-time Infusion Pharmacist to deliver expert clinical pharmacy services focused on chronic and acute infusion therapies. The role offers a Monday through Friday schedule, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, with on-call duties every third weekend. The ideal candidate will bring prior infusion setting experience, though those with specialty pharmacy backgrounds will also be considered.
Core Responsibilities:
- Compound, dispense, and clinically monitor medications prescribed by authorized medical professionals.
- Ensure full compliance with local, state, and federal pharmacy regulations.
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff to maintain strict adherence to protocols.
- Collaboratively coordinate pharmacy services with nursing, admissions, reimbursement, sales, and marketing teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Participate actively in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
- Support orientation, training, and mentorship of new pharmacy staff and pharmacy interns.
- Provide clinical expertise to sales and marketing teams, including review of presentations and marketing materials.
- Comply with procurement and inventory procedures.
- Collaborate with corporate clinical services and assist in product selection as needed.
- Ensure insurance authorization compliance and assist reimbursement teams with audit documentation.
- Maintain accurate clinical records in line with state and federal controlled substance reporting requirements.
- Understand and implement USP 797, USP 800 standards, and applicable State Board of Pharmacy regulations.
- Participate in on-call rotation to provide continuous pharmacy support.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Licensure as a Pharmacist with active credentials.
- Prior infusion pharmacy experience highly preferred; specialty pharmacy experience considered.
- Strong clinical knowledge with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Experience with CPR+/CareTend pharmacy systems preferred.
- Commitment to high-touch patient care and pharmacy production excellence.
