A full-time infusion pharmacist position is available with a focus on clinical pharmacy services in an infusion setting. This direct hire role requires a professional dedicated to providing high-touch patient care and efficient pharmacy production within a collaborative team environment.
Location: Elk Grove, CA
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- On-call every 3rd weekend
Key Responsibilities:
- Compounding, dispensing, and clinical monitoring of chronic and acute infusion therapies as prescribed.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal pharmacy regulations.
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and support personnel to maintain regulatory and procedural compliance.
- Coordinate pharmacy services collaboratively with nursing, admissions, reimbursement, sales, and marketing to optimize patient outcomes.
- Participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement programs.
- Assist in staff orientation, training, and serve as a preceptor for pharmacy interns when needed.
- Provide clinical resources and support to Sales and Marketing, including customer presentations and review of marketing materials.
- Support procurement and inventory control processes.
- Collaborate with the corporate clinical services department and contribute to product selection committees when requested.
- Ensure compliance with insurance authorization procedures and assist reimbursement team with documentation and audits.
- Participate in on-call rotation to provide continuous pharmacy support.
- Maintain accurate clinical records including controlled substance reporting.
- Adhere to USP 797, USP 800 standards, and State Board of Pharmacy regulations.
- Utilize CPR+/CareTend systems for pharmacy operations.
Desired Experience:
- Prior experience in an infusion pharmacy setting is highly preferred.
- Candidates with specialty pharmacy experience will also be considered.
