An opportunity is available for two inpatient pharmacists at a hospital just outside South Bend, IN, in Elkhart, IN. These contract roles begin on June 1 and run for 13 weeks, offering critical support to the inpatient pharmacy team.

Schedule Options:

• One position: Days, 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
• One position: Days/Evenings, 11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders using Cerner Meds Manager Order Verification process
• Dispense medications through automated systems including Pyxis
• Prepare IV admixtures in compliance with hospital protocols
• Manage inpatient hospital distribution services, ensuring accuracy and safety
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to support patient medication management

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Proficiency with Cerner EMR, especially order verification in Meds Manager
• Familiarity with inpatient pharmacy workflows, including IV antibiotics, anticoagulants, and electrolyte preparations
• Experience with Pyxis and Pharmacy Keeper systems
• New graduates are welcome to apply if they have Cerner order verification experience
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
