Clinical Pharmacist - Elkhart, IN

An opportunity is available for two inpatient pharmacists to support hospital pharmacy services in the Elkhart, IN area, just outside South Bend, IN. This 13-week contract begins on June 1 and offers two distinct shifts to cover inpatient pharmacy needs.

Schedule/Hours:

• (1) Day Shift: 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM
• (1) Day/Evening Shift: 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM

Responsibilities include verifying medication orders using Cerner Meds Manager, managing pharmacy distribution services, preparing IV medications, and ensuring accuracy with hospital-based medications such as IV antibiotics, anticoagulants, and electrolytes. The role requires proficient use of Cerner EMR, Cerner order verification processes, Pyxis, and Pharmacy Keeper systems.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Experience in an inpatient hospital pharmacy setting
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR and specifically Cerner Meds Manager order verification
• Familiarity with Pyxis and Pharmacy Keeper systems
• Knowledge of inpatient medication distribution and IV room preparation
• Experience with hospital intravenous medications, including antibiotics and anticoagulants
• New graduates are welcome if they have experience with Cerner Meds Manager order verification
• Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility
