Clinical Staff Pharmacist - Elkhart, IN

A well-established inpatient hospital pharmacy in Elkhart, IN, just outside South Bend, IN, seeks two dedicated pharmacists to support their clinical team on a 13-week contract starting June 1st. This opportunity offers critical hands-on experience with inpatient pharmacy operations and clinical medication management in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Schedule:

• Position 1: Days, 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM
• Position 2: Days/Evenings, 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM

Responsibilities include verifying medication orders using Cerner Meds Manager, managing medication distribution through Pyxis and Pharmacy Keeper systems, preparing intravenous (IV) medications, and ensuring the safe administration of hospital-based medications such as IV antibiotics, anticoagulants, and electrolytes. This role requires strong familiarity with inpatient pharmacy workflows, especially in hospital distribution services and IV room preparation.

Desired Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Cerner EMR and Cerner Meds Manager order verification processes
• Experience working in an inpatient hospital pharmacy environment
• Comfortable handling hospital-based medications, including IV formulations
• New graduates are welcome if they have hands-on experience with Cerner order verification
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
