Clinical Pharmacist - Evanston, IL

A healthcare facility is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to support inpatient pharmacy operations in a contract role starting June 1 for a 13-week assignment. This position involves daytime shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with rotating weekends, providing valuable in-hospital pharmacy services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform clinical verification and checking of medication orders to ensure patient safety and efficacy.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians, guiding workflow and maintaining compliance with hospital standards.
• Conduct thorough IV admixture checks to guarantee accuracy and sterility.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams using the EPIC electronic medical record system to optimize medication management.
• Support typical inpatient pharmacy functions critical to patient care.

Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of recent inpatient pharmacy experience is required.
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR system preferred.
• Strong knowledge of clinical pharmacy practices, medication safety, and hospital protocols.
• Ability to work rotating weekend shifts as scheduled.
• Excellent communication and supervisory skills.
