An experienced Clinical Pharmacist is needed to support a community-focused independent retail pharmacy. This contract opportunity offers a 13-week assignment with weekday shifts from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, reporting directly to the Chief Clinical Officer. The role entails managing all aspects of retail pharmaceutical services including procurement, distribution, storage, and administration of medications to ensure patient-centered care and community well-being in a trusted local setting.

Responsibilities include compounding and dispensing medications, reviewing prescriptions for accuracy, directing pharmacy support staff, providing patient counseling on medications, maintaining quality assurance and safety standards, managing pharmacy records and inventory, resolving third-party claim issues, and fostering positive relationships with patients and healthcare professionals. The position also involves training pharmacy interns and technicians while adhering to compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations.

Key Qualifications:

  • Licensed to practice pharmacy in California
  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. from an accredited institution
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to collaborate with diverse teams and maintain confidentiality
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and pharmacy management software
  • Commitment to continuing education and professional development
