A Clinical Pharmacist position is available in a closed-door mail order pharmacy environment, offering a dynamic role focused on advanced pharmacotherapy and direct patient care. This opportunity follows a 13-week temp-to-direct hire arrangement, with standard weekday hours from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and the possibility of some Saturdays based on operational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately dispense medications according to prescription orders.
- Provide comprehensive medication counseling to patients, covering proper usage, potential side effects, and drug interactions.
- Review and interpret physician orders to confirm therapeutic appropriateness.
- Monitor patient drug regimens for contraindications, interactions, and duplications.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to enhance patient outcomes and ensure medication adherence.
- Maintain detailed patient records including medication histories and allergy information.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations.
- Manage proper storage and handling of pharmaceuticals, checking for expired or compromised products.
- Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement programs within the pharmacy.
- Assist with inventory operations including ordering and stocking medications and supplies.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
- Stay current with pharmacy practice developments through ongoing professional development.
Qualifications and Experience:
- PharmD degree is required.
- Active Indiana Pharmacy License mandatory.
- California Pharmacy License preferred; willingness to obtain via reciprocity accepted with client assistance for associated costs.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Possible Saturday shifts as needed.
