Clinical Pharmacist | Fishers, Indiana

A Clinical Pharmacist role is available in a closed-door mail order environment, with a focus on advanced pharmacotherapy and direct patient care. This position operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with possible Saturday shifts based on need, for a 13-week temp-to-hire opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense medications in accordance with prescription orders.
• Provide thorough medication counseling to patients, including instructions, potential side effects, and drug interactions.
• Review and interpret physician orders to verify accuracy and appropriateness.
• Monitor drug therapy regimens for contraindications, interactions, and duplications.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize therapeutic outcomes and promote adherence.
• Maintain detailed and accurate patient records, including medication histories and interventions.
• Comply with all relevant federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations.
• Ensure proper medication storage and manage expired or damaged products.
• Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement programs within the pharmacy.
• Assist with inventory management including ordering and stocking pharmaceuticals.
• Deliver responsive customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current in pharmacy practices.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• PharmD degree is required.
• Indiana Pharmacy License mandatory.
• California Pharmacy License preferred or the willingness to pursue reciprocity; support with licensing costs available.
• Strong understanding of clinical pharmacy practices and regulatory requirements.
• Experience in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment is advantageous.

Schedule:
