Provide expert clinical pharmacy services in an inpatient critical access hospital setting located in Fort Wingate, NM. This travel opportunity offers a chance to work in a dynamic healthcare environment supporting patient care through medication management and sterile compounding.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the inpatient pharmacist, managing medication distribution and ensuring accurate order entry using Cerner
  • Participate in sterile compounding procedures adhering to safety and compliance standards
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize pharmacotherapy in the hospital setting
  • Maintain medication inventory and Pyxis automation system oversight
  • Provide after-hours on-call support as needed, ensuring seamless pharmacy operations
  • Uphold business casual dress standards while contributing to a positive workplace culture

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Current New Mexico pharmacist licensure required
  • Proven experience as a clinical pharmacist in an inpatient or hospital environment
  • Competency with hospital pharmacy automation systems, preferably Pyxis
  • Skilled in sterile compounding techniques and compliance
  • Ability to handle on-call responsibilities efficiently and professionally
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills in a multidisciplinary healthcare setting

Schedule & Assignment Details:

  • Start date: August 1, 2026, with an anticipated duration of 3+ months until permanent pharmacist hire
  • 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, day shifts approximately 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
  • Travel assignment requiring flexibility to work in Fort Wingate, NM; nearby airports include Farmington, Albuquerque, and Phoenix
