A permanent opportunity is available for a Clinical Pharmacist to serve as a unit-based clinical specialist supporting both Emergency Department (ED) and Intensive Care Unit (ICU) patient care, along with participation in the antibiotic stewardship team. This position allows for broad clinical engagement across multiple units, providing a dynamic environment for skill development beyond a singular focused area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and verify medication orders, ensuring appropriateness and safety
  • Provide clinical pharmacy services tailored to unit-specific patient populations
  • Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and collaborate with healthcare teams
  • Monitor drug therapy and manage pharmacist consults per established protocols
  • Respond to acute patient scenarios including cardiac arrest, stroke, sepsis, and trauma

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD required
  • PGY-1 residency completed or a minimum of three years of current clinical experience
  • PA pharmacist license or eligibility to obtain licensure
  • Ability to utilize Meditech electronic health records
  • Out-of-state candidates are encouraged to apply; relocation support is available on a case-by-case basis

Schedule:

  • Primarily day shifts; 8-hour shifts with variable days/afternoons

Location:

  • State College, Pennsylvania, a scenic college town and home to Penn State University

This opportunity offers competitive compensation with a range positioned between $108,000 to $169,000 annually, recognizing experience and expertise.
