A healthcare facility in Fredericksburg, VA, is seeking an experienced pharmacist to support its outpatient infusion services within a cancer center. This role offers the opportunity to work in a specialized clinical environment, focusing on infusion therapy, including chemotherapy, for oncology patients. Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, review, and verify chemotherapy and other infusion medication orders ensuring safety and accuracy
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to provide clinical pharmacy services related to outpatient infusion therapies
• Manage medication inventory and utilize pharmacy technology systems such as EPIC and Pyxis effectively
• Educate patients on their medications and provide medication counseling as needed
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with regulatory standards

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active Virginia Pharmacist license is required
• Clinical experience in infusion pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, or chemotherapy preferred
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system and Pyxis medication dispensing systems
• Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team setting

Schedule and Location:

• Location: Fredericksburg, VA
• Work hours: 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• On-call or weekend coverage is not required
