This direct hire role offers a unique opportunity to join a leading pediatric hospital as a specialized Hematology/Oncology Pharmacist focused on CARTI and Bone Marrow Transplant therapies. Reporting to the Director of Pharmacy, you will be integral in ensuring the highest standards of medication management, safety, and compliance aligned with current regulatory laws and best practices. You will collaborate closely with pharmacy leadership and multiple hospital disciplines to drive evidence-based practice improvements and education initiatives aimed at optimizing patient safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee pharmacy operations to ensure medication safety and regulatory compliance
  • Lead evaluation and continuous improvement of clinical pharmacy practices, policies, and procedures
  • Conduct education and training on patient safety and regulatory topics
  • Collaborate with medical staff to implement positive clinical changes
  • Serve as a patient advocate to uphold the highest standards of medication error prevention and reporting (MERP)
  • Utilize EMR systems such as EPIC in daily clinical workflows

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree (required)
  • Completion of an accredited residency program (preferred)
  • Current Registered Pharmacist license in California (required)
  • BLS Certification (required within 30 days of hire)
  • Additional Specialty Pharmacy certifications or medication safety certificates (preferred)
  • Minimum of 5 years hospital or related experience (required)
  • At least 2 years management experience (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and The Joint Commission standards
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to develop and implement pharmacy care processes collaboratively

Schedule:

  • Full-time, Monday through Friday
  • 40 hours per week, 5 eight-hour shifts during the day
