Position Details

• Position: Staff Pharmacist
• Location: Fresno, CA
• Type: 12-week contract with potential for contract-to-hire
• Start: ASAP
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10:30 AM–7:00 PM
• Weekends: None
• License: Active California Pharmacist License
• Experience: Retail pharmacy experience will be considered

Responsibilities

• Review, verify, prepare, and dispense prescription medications
• Counsel patients on medications, side effects, dosage, and drug interactions
• Monitor medication compliance and potential overuse patterns
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records
• Provide consultation on prescription and non-prescription medications
• Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions following proper procedures
• Supervise pharmacy technicians, clerks, and other pharmacy staff
• Maintain appropriate medication and supply inventory
• Identify drug-related problems and communicate with physicians and other healthcare providers
• Collaborate with pharmacists, physicians, nurses, interns, and other members of the healthcare team
• Educate patients on proper use of medical devices
• Provide patient services such as blood pressure measurement and cholesterol management
