Clinical Pharmacist - Gibsonia, PA

An opportunity is available for a Clinical Pharmacist specializing in Long Term Care to support skilled nursing facilities, personal care facilities, and hospice care. This contract role requires a dedicated professional to ensure the accuracy and safety of medication management across multiple care settings.

Location: Gibsonia, Pennsylvania
Contract Duration: 1 month with possible extension
Schedule/Hours:

• 40 hours per week
• Pharmacy hours: Monday through Friday 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Saturday 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Sunday 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and verify medication orders entered by data entry technicians for accuracy and compliance
• Inspect blister-packed medications as well as sterile and non-sterile preparations
• Respond to phone inquiries from nursing facilities, hospice nurses, and physicians, providing clinical guidance and answering medication-related questions
• Manage controlled substances by counting and documenting in perpetual inventory records
• Check and maintain emergency medication boxes to ensure readiness

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy
• Active pharmacist license in good standing with the state of Pennsylvania
• Minimum of 1 year of pharmacist experience; Long Term Care experience preferred
• Physical ability to sit, stand, and perform fine motor tasks with good visual acuity; capable of lifting up to 30 pounds

Familiarity with pharmacy operating systems such as QS1, Docutrack, and PCC is essential for this position.
