A hospital-based pharmacist with chemotherapy experience is needed to support inpatient and outpatient oncology services within a large county health system. This role offers the opportunity to contribute at a major medical center with a wide range of clinical services and patient populations.

Location: Glendale, CA
Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts per week
Job Type: Contract with potential for long-term placement and eventual transition to permanent county employment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dispense and manage chemotherapy medications for both inpatient and outpatient oncology patients
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize pharmacologic care in a high-acuity hospital setting
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulatory standards in chemotherapy handling
  • Participate in clinical rounds and patient consultations to support effective treatment plans

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

  • Pharmacist licensure with a minimum of approximately 2 years of current inpatient experience or completion of PGY-1 residency (highly preferred)
  • Demonstrated chemotherapy/oncology pharmacy expertise
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive competency exam required by the health system
  • Willingness to undergo background screening and credentialing processes
  • Strong communication and team collaboration skills
