An opportunity is available for a Travel Oncology Pharmacist to join a hospital infusion center in Gold Beach, Oregon. This role supports a newly established Oncology Infusion Center and offers the chance to engage deeply with oncology medication management in a hospital pharmacy setting.
Responsibilities include verifying medication orders, preparing chemotherapy medications, and compounding hazardous drugs. The pharmacist will work closely with oncology nurses and providers to ensure seamless care for infusion patients. The workweek runs Monday through Friday with 8-hour shifts, providing a structured schedule.
Key qualifications and experience desired:
- Current experience as a pharmacist in an oncology hospital or infusion center
- PharmD degree
- Active Oregon Pharmacist License (RPh) or ability to obtain prior to start
- Proven oncology pharmacy expertise, especially with chemotherapy medication preparation
- Hands-on experience with hazardous drug compounding
- Familiarity with EPIC electronic health record system is a plus
