A travel oncology pharmacist opportunity is available to support a new Oncology Infusion Center at a hospital in Gold Beach, OR. This role is ideal for a clinical pharmacist with a strong background in oncology pharmacy within a hospital or infusion center setting.

The pharmacist will be responsible for verifying medication orders, preparing chemotherapy medications, and compounding hazardous drugs. Collaboration with oncology nurses and providers will be essential to ensure safe and effective infusion therapy for patients. The position utilizes EPIC for IT and supports a hospital pharmacy infusion environment.

Start date is planned for June, allowing time to obtain an Oregon pharmacist license. This 26-week travel assignment offers Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts.

Key Qualifications:

  • PharmD degree required
  • Active Oregon Pharmacist License (RPh) must be obtained prior to start
  • Current experience as a pharmacist in an oncology center in a hospital or infusion center setting
  • Demonstrated oncology pharmacy experience, including chemotherapy medication preparation
  • Experience with hazardous drug compounding

Responsibilities:

  • Verify and dispense chemotherapy medication orders accurately
  • Prepare and compound hazardous chemotherapy drugs following safety protocols
  • Collaborate closely with oncology nurses and providers to support infusion operations
  • Manage clinical pharmacy activities within the hospital infusion center
  • Utilize EPIC system for order review and documentation
