A distinguished non-profit health system in California is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacy Specialist with expertise in Oncology to enhance their inpatient and outpatient infusion services. This role requires a candidate with extensive clinical experience, preferably a PGY2-trained specialist or equivalent, ready to lead and innovate in oncology pharmaceutical care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage comprehensive medication therapies including laboratory test ordering, therapy selection, and adverse event management.
  • Verify chemotherapy orders for accuracy, safety, and dosage appropriateness.
  • Provide education to patients and caregivers on treatment plans, side effect management, and medication adherence.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams during clinical rounds to optimize patient treatment.
  • Participate in clinical trials, oversee investigational drug use, and contribute to the development of institutional oncology protocols and guidelines.

Desired Qualifications:

  • PharmD or BS in Pharmacy.
  • Eligibility to obtain a California pharmacist license.
  • Oncology specialization via PGY2 or fellowship, OR PGY1 plus 3 years, OR 5 years of clinical oncology specialist experience.
  • Board Certification in Oncology Pharmacy (BCOP) is preferred.

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, day shifts.
