Clinical Pharmacist - Gonzales, Louisiana

A healthcare facility is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist with critical care expertise to support their CV ICU and Medical ICU2. This 13-week contract position offers a daytime schedule of 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on an every-other-week basis, starting June 2. Candidates must possess a Louisiana pharmacy license and experience in Level 1 trauma settings, with at least one year of recent critical care or clinical pharmacy practice.

Responsibilities:

• Provide clinical pharmacy services within critical care units, focusing on cardiovascular and medical intensive care patients
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the optimal use of medications and promote patient safety
• Utilize EPIC electronic medical record system for documentation and communication
• Support adherence to clinical protocols and participate in rounds

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Minimum one year of recent critical care or clinical pharmacy experience, including Level 1 trauma exposure
• PGY-2 critical care residency or equivalent experience strongly preferred
• Louisiana pharmacist license in-hand
• Board certification is a plus but not mandatory
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records system
