Clinical Pharmacist in Gonzales, LA

A healthcare facility in Louisiana is seeking a Critical Care Clinical Pharmacist for a 13-week contract covering day shifts from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on an every-other-week schedule. This role focuses on providing expert pharmaceutical care in the Cardiovascular ICU and Medical ICU2.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver clinical pharmacy services in critical care settings, optimizing medication therapy for Level 1 trauma patients.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support patient outcomes in high-acuity cardiovascular and medical intensive care units.
• Utilize EPIC electronic medical records proficiently to document and manage medication profiles.
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy standards and hospital protocols while maintaining patient safety.

Desired Qualifications:

• Minimum of one year recent experience as a critical care or clinical pharmacist with exposure to Level 1 trauma cases.
• PGY-2 residency training is highly preferred.
• Active Louisiana pharmacist license is required.
• Board certification is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Comfortable working with EPIC EMR.
• First-time travelers will be considered, encouraging professionals open to temporary relocation.
