Clinical Pharmacist in Gonzales, LA

A healthcare facility in Metairie, LA, is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist with critical care expertise for a 13-week contract beginning June 2. This position primarily covers the Cardiovascular ICU and Medical ICU2 during day shifts on a 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. schedule every other week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide clinical pharmacy support in a Level 1 trauma center setting.
• Monitor medication therapy and collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes in critical care units.
• Utilize EPIC electronic medical records efficiently for documentation and order verification.

Qualifications:

• Active Louisiana pharmacy license.
• Minimum of one year of recent experience in critical care, preferably in a Level 1 trauma environment.
• Experience or comfort with EPIC EMR is required.
• PGY-2 residency in critical care highly preferred but not mandatory.
• Board certification in pharmacy is a plus.
