A healthcare facility in Metairie, LA is seeking a skilled Clinical Pharmacist with a focus on Critical Care for a 13-week contract assignment. This opportunity offers an excellent chance to apply your expertise in a fast-paced hospital environment, supporting patient care in the Cardiovascular ICU and Medical ICU2 units.

Location: Metairie, LA
Schedule:

  • Days, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
  • Every other week (EOW)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical pharmacy services in critical care settings, ensuring optimal medication management for critically ill patients
  • Collaborate closely with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient-specific pharmacotherapy plans
  • Monitor patient responses and adjust medication regimens as necessary
  • Maintain thorough documentation and utilize the EPIC electronic medical record system effectively
  • Support trauma-level 1 patient care protocols within the CV ICU and Medical ICU2 units

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year recent critical care clinical pharmacy experience, specifically with Level 1 trauma patients
  • PGY-2 residency in critical care highly preferred but not required
  • Licensed pharmacist in Louisiana with an active license in-hand
  • Board certification in pharmacy practice preferred but optional
  • Experience with EPIC electronic medical records required
  • Willingness to travel; first-time travelers are welcome to apply
