Clinical Pharmacist in Goshen, IN

Two inpatient pharmacist opportunities are available at a hospital in the Elkhart area, just outside South Bend, IN. These contract roles begin on June 1 and run for 13 weeks, offering valuable experience within a hospital inpatient pharmacy setting. Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility.

Shift options include:

• Day shift: 6:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
• Day/Evening shift: 11:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.

Key responsibilities include verifying medication orders using Cerner Meds Manager, managing hospital drug distribution through Pyxis and Pharmacy Keeper systems, and preparing IV medications in the pharmacy’s IV room. The pharmacist will work closely with inpatient medication regimens, including IV antibiotics, anticoagulants, and electrolytes.

Desired qualifications and experience:

• Proficiency in Cerner order verification is required.
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR, Pyxis, and Pharmacy Keeper software.
• Experience with inpatient hospital pharmacy operations and medication preparation.
• New graduates are welcome if they have direct experience with Cerner Meds Manager order verification.
