Provide expert clinical pharmacy services in a culturally rich, diverse healthcare environment serving the Navajo, Hopi, and Southern Paiute communities. This contract opportunity, starting ASAP, spans 13 weeks with a flexible 4/10-hour shift schedule. Shifts may begin between 8:00 am and 12:00 pm, including weekdays and weekends, with rotating day, evening, night, and holiday coverage to meet patient care needs.
Location: Gray Mountain, AZ, at a JCAHO-accredited regional health care corporation servicing a vast area with comprehensive inpatient, outpatient, surgical, and specialty services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive pharmacy and medication management services for neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, geriatric, oncology, and obstetric patients.
- Work across the main hospital campus and satellite clinics to ensure consistent, high-quality pharmacy care aligned with organizational policies.
- Provide direct clinical pharmacy support, participate in specialized pharmacy-based clinics, and contribute to clinical service development for optimal patient outcomes.
- Assume technical and administrative supervision responsibilities, supporting pharmacy staff including Advanced Practice Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, and Assistants.
- Adhere to all operational policies and contribute to the continuous improvement of pharmacy services in line with the facility’s mission, vision, and values.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Pharmacy from an ACPE-recognized institution.
- Current, valid, unrestricted pharmacy license from any U.S. state, territory, or D.C.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Minimum two years as a Registered Pharmacist, with at least one year in a clinical pharmacist role.
- Fingerprinting clearance required prior to start.
