An opening leadership opportunity is available for an Interim Director of Pharmacy to provide coverage leadership in Great Falls, MT. This travel role requires a licensed Montana pharmacist with strong pharmacy management experience. The position demands clinical expertise coupled with administrative skills to oversee and advance pharmacy services within a hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a small pharmacy team of 2-3 pharmacists, maintaining daily operations Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Serve as Pharmacist in Charge (PIC), ensuring compliance and professional standards
- Oversee ongoing projects, including clean room renovations, medication technology (Medi-Tech) IT implementations, and infusion center financial analyses
- Collaborate with outpatient clinics and surgical hospital units to optimize pharmaceutical care and services
- Stabilize pharmacy operations through effective leadership, communication, and problem-solving
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Montana pharmacist license is required
- Demonstrated hospital pharmacy management experience, ideally with outpatient clinic and surgical hospital settings
- Ability to lead and stabilize pharmacy teams and drive project completion
- Strong organizational skills with an aptitude for financial and IT systems analysis
- Professional demeanor with a commitment to quality patient care and regulatory compliance
Location: Great Falls, MT
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM; no weekend or on-call duties required
