An opportunity is available for an experienced Infusion Pharmacist to support pharmacy operations in Greensboro, NC. This per diem contract role requires immediate availability for coverage, with potential for long-term placement or permanent hire. The position is well suited to professionals with a strong background in home infusion who thrive in fast-paced, patient-centered settings.

Responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing and verifying medication orders for infusion therapies
  • Overseeing the preparation and dispensing of sterile compounded medications
  • Ensuring compliance with USP <797> and <800> standards
  • Providing clinical support and drug information to healthcare staff and patients
  • Collaborating with the pharmacy team to maintain workflow and ensure patient safety
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and adhering to regulatory requirements

Schedule highlights:

  • Immediate shifts available on April 8, 9, and 10
  • Week of April 27-May 1 requires a minimum of 2 shifts
  • Additional dates likely, typically a few days per week

Qualifications:

  • Active North Carolina pharmacist license in good standing
  • Recent infusion or home infusion experience
  • Strong experience with sterile compounding
  • Thorough knowledge of USP <797> and <800> guidelines
  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment and adapt quickly

Additional information:

  • Not required to serve as Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) for contract assignment unless converted to permanent
  • Willingness to assume PIC responsibilities if hired permanently
  • This contract offers the potential for temp-to-perm placement
