Clinical Staff Pharmacist - Greenwood, IN

A Clinical Pharmacist role is available in a closed door mail order pharmacy setting. This position offers a 13-week temp-to-hire opportunity with day shifts from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, and occasional Saturdays as needed. The pharmacist will collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide advanced pharmacotherapy services emphasizing direct patient care, therapeutic drug monitoring, and evidence-based medication recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense medications following prescription orders.
• Counsel patients on medication usage, potential side effects, and drug interactions.
• Review and interpret physician orders to verify appropriate therapy.
• Monitor drug therapy for contraindications, interactions, and duplications.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes.
• Maintain comprehensive patient records including medication histories and interventions.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant pharmacy laws and regulations.
• Oversee proper storage and handling of medications, including checking for expired or damaged products.
• Participate in quality assurance and continuous quality improvement programs.
• Assist with pharmaceutical inventory management.
• Deliver excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
• Engage in professional development and stay current with pharmacy practice trends.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:

• PharmD degree required.
• Active Indiana Pharmacy License required.
• California Pharmacy License preferred, or willingness to reciprocate with client support for costs.
