Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Possible Saturdays based on need
Job Type: Temporary to direct hire, 13-week duration
Key Responsibilities:
- Dispense medications accurately and efficiently per prescription orders
- Provide patient medication counseling on proper use, side effects, and interactions
- Review and interpret physician orders to confirm accuracy and appropriateness
- Monitor drug regimens for contraindications, interactions, and duplications
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize therapeutic outcomes and adherence
- Maintain detailed patient records, including medication histories and clinical interventions
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations
- Oversee proper medication storage and handling, checking for expired or damaged products
- Participate in quality assurance and pharmacy improvement initiatives
- Assist with inventory management and pharmaceutical supply ordering
- Deliver outstanding customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with pharmacy practices
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required
- Valid Indiana Pharmacy License required
- California Pharmacy License preferred, or willingness to reciprocate (assistance with costs provided)
