A hospital in the New Orleans area is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist with expertise in transplant and critical care for a 13-week daytime contract position. This role offers exposure to a dynamic hospital environment with a diverse patient population requiring specialized pharmaceutical care.

Schedule and Location:

  • Days: 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
  • Weekend rotation
  • Gretna, LA area (East Jefferson General Hospital in Metairie)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical pharmacy services with a focus on critical care and transplant patients
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize medication therapy in emergency and hospital settings
  • Utilize EMR (EPIC) to manage patient records and medication orders
  • Support transplant-related pharmacotherapy and ensure compliance with clinical protocols

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year of transplant experience, preferably solid organ transplant support
  • PGY-2 transplant residency preferred; PGY-1 with transplant support experience also considered
  • Active Louisiana pharmacist license
  • Board certification is a plus but not mandatory
  • Proficient in EPIC EMR system
