Emergency Room Hospital Clinical Pharmacist | Gretna, Louisiana

A 13-week contract opportunity is available for a Clinical Pharmacist specializing in Critical Care and Transplant at a hospital in Gretna, LA. The position requires day shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM with weekend rotation, starting June 2nd.

Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized pharmaceutical care in a critical care setting, focusing on solid organ transplant patients
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal medication management and patient safety
• Utilize EPIC electronic medical records system effectively
• Participate in weekend coverage on a rotational basis

Qualifications:

• Active Louisiana pharmacist license required
• Minimum one year of transplant pharmacy experience, preferably solid organ transplant
• PGY-2 Solid Organ Transplant training is ideal; however, candidates with PGY-1 and some transplant support experience will be considered
• Board Certification in Pharmacy is preferred but not mandatory
• Strong clinical knowledge in emergency room and hospital pharmacy settings
