Clinical Pharmacist | Hampton, Virginia

A Clinical Pharmacist opportunity is available at a well-regarded regional medical center serving inpatient populations. This contract role begins Tuesday, May 26, and extends over a 13-week period, offering a chance to work a variety of rotating shifts in an engaging hospital environment.

Responsibilities include verifying medication orders, managing drug interactions, and performing order entry with a primary focus on inpatient pharmacy needs. You will be expected to apply your expertise in IV medication preparation, pain-controlled analgesia, and antibiotics to support patient care. Additional preferred experience includes chemotherapy, anticoagulants, pharmacokinetic dosing, and renal dosing.

Key qualifications and experience:

• Minimum 1 year of inpatient pharmacy experience required
• Proficient in IV medication administration, pain control analgesia, antibiotics, and drug interaction management
• Experienced with oncology medications, anticoagulants, pharmacokinetics, and renal dosing preferred
• Proven ability to verify and process medication orders efficiently and safely
• Hands-on experience with EPIC electronic medical records (EMR) system required—firm requirement
• Travel pharmacy experience considered a plus
