Clinical Pharmacist in Hampton, VA

This opportunity offers a dynamic role as a Clinical Pharmacist with a 13-week contract assignment in Hampton, VA. Ideal candidates will hold an active Virginia pharmacy license at the time of application and bring clinical expertise in inpatient settings.

Schedule/Hours:

• Day shifts: 0630 – 1500, 0730 – 1600, 0900 – 1730, 1000 – 1830
• Evening shifts: 1300 – 2130, 1430 – 2300
• Overnight shifts: 1930 – 0730, 2030 – end of shift

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders and facilitate accurate order entry
• Monitor and manage drug interactions, dosing adjustments, and patient-specific factors
• Administer IV medications, pain-controlled analgesia, and antibiotics with precision
• Apply knowledge in chemotherapy administration, anticoagulant management, pharmacokinetic, and renal dosing (preferred)
• Utilize EPIC electronic medical records for charting and documentation

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Current Virginia pharmacy license required upon submission
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient pharmacy experience required
• Proven skills with intravenous medication administration and pain management
• Experience with antimicrobial therapies and medication safety practices
• EPIC EMR charting experience mandatory
• Travel pharmacy experience preferred but not required
