This opportunity focuses on providing clinical pharmacy support at a small, critical access inpatient hospital serving 25 beds. The role requires a Pharmacy professional to fulfill PRN (as-needed) coverage from June 3 through June 8, Monday to Friday, with shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The setting provides hands-on experience in a close-knit healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify physician orders accurately and promptly
- Oversee and support pharmacy technicians to ensure efficient workflow
- Conduct cart fills following established protocols
- Dispense medications via Pyxis systems safely and efficiently
Desired Qualifications:
- Current, active Kentucky pharmacy license
- Minimum of 1 year recent experience in inpatient pharmacy settings
- Proficiency or familiarity with Cerner pharmacy systems preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills; comfortable interacting with medical staff and patients
- Solid clinical pharmacy knowledge for inpatient care
