This role offers an opportunity to provide clinical pharmacy support in a small, 25-bed critical access hospital setting, serving inpatient needs. The assignment is scheduled from June 3 to June 8, Monday through Friday, with working hours from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. This per diem position is ideal for pharmacists seeking flexible hours while gaining direct inpatient hospital experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify medication orders accurately to ensure patient safety.
- Monitor and oversee the work of pharmacy technicians.
- Manage medication cart fills efficiently.
- Dispense medications using Pyxis systems.
- Maintain strong clinical knowledge to support patient care effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current, clear, and active Kentucky pharmacist license.
- Minimum of 1 year recent inpatient pharmacy experience.
- Experience with Cerner electronic health records is highly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with healthcare team members.
- Solid clinical pharmacy knowledge and application in an inpatient setting.
