A per diem clinical pharmacist opportunity is available in Hawesville, KY, at a small 25-bed critical access hospital. This role supports inpatient hospital needs from June 22nd through June 26th, Monday to Friday, with working hours from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The typical census ranges between 8 and 15 patients.
Responsibilities include verifying medication orders, monitoring pharmacy technicians, managing cart fills, and handling Pyxis dispensing. The pharmacist will play a vital role in ensuring accurate and timely medication distribution within the inpatient setting.
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Active and clear Kentucky pharmacy license
- Minimum of 1 year recent inpatient hospital experience
- Familiarity with Cerner pharmacy systems preferred
- Strong clinical knowledge
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as the role requires collaboration with healthcare teams and staff supervision
Schedule/Hours:
- Monday to Friday only
- 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- Per diem availability during the specified week
