An immediate opening is available for two IV/Infusion Pharmacists to support a busy specialty pharmacy on a contract basis. The position offers an 8-10 week assignment with an urgent start date and requires strong clinical expertise in specialty and infusion pharmacy operations.

Location: Henderson, NV
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with weekend on-call rotation
Contract Duration: 8-10 weeks

Key Responsibilities

  • Review, verify, and dispense prescriptions ensuring compliance with regulatory standards including State Board of Pharmacy, FDA, DEA, URAC, and ACHC
  • Provide patient counseling and manage medication therapies for specialty disease states
  • Supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians and interns
  • Collaborate closely with Intake, Referral, and Clinical teams to facilitate prescription fulfillment and patient onboarding
  • Support quality assurance initiatives, maintain accurate documentation, and resolve incidents
  • Maintain comprehensive pharmacy records and oversee operational workflows
  • Participate in on-call rotation during weekends as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Active Nevada Pharmacist License
  • BS or PharmD from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy
  • Specialty, infusion, or compounding pharmacy background (retail-only experience will not qualify)
  • Demonstrated understanding of specialty therapies and patient qualification processes
  • Experience supervising or working in close partnership with pharmacy technicians

Preferred Experience

  • 1-2 years in specialty, infusion, hospital, or similar pharmacy settings
  • Familiarity with specialty pharmacy operations, payer requirements, and clinical coordination
  • Experience with CareTend software

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong clinical judgment and in-depth knowledge of specialty medications
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and multitasking skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and pharmacy software
  • Ability to work onsite while managing multiple responsibilities
