Pharmacist Clinical | Henderson, Nevada

Immediate opportunity for experienced IV/Infusion Pharmacists to contribute clinical expertise in a specialty pharmacy setting. This contract role offers a fast start and a focused 8-10 week assignment supporting pharmacy operations and patient care.

Location: Henderson, NV
Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Weekend on-call rotation

Key Responsibilities:

• Review, verify, and dispense prescriptions, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards including State Board of Pharmacy, FDA, DEA, URAC, and ACHC
• Provide medication therapy management and patient counseling for specialty and infusion therapies
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and interns, supporting daily workflow and operational accuracy
• Collaborate with intake, referral, and clinical teams to facilitate patient onboarding and prescription fulfillment
• Maintain pharmacy documentation, assist with quality assurance, and handle incident resolution
• Participate in weekend on-call rotations

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Nevada Pharmacist License (required)
• BS or PharmD from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy
• Background in Specialty, Infusion, or Compounding pharmacy (retail-only experience does not meet requirements)
• Strong understanding of specialty therapies and patient qualification methodologies
• Experience supervising or working closely with pharmacy technicians

Preferred Skills:

• 1-2 years in Specialty, Infusion, Hospital, or related pharmacy environments
• Familiarity with specialty pharmacy operations, payer requirements, and clinical coordination
• Experience with CareTend software is a plus

Essential Skills:

• Clinical knowledge and sound judgment regarding specialty medications
• Effective communication, leadership, and multitasking capabilities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and pharmacy management systems
• Ability to work onsite and handle multiple priorities
