An infusion pharmacy opportunity is available for experienced clinical pharmacists with expertise in home infusion and sterile compounding. This per diem contract assignment is based in Greensboro, NC, with immediate needs and potential for long-term placement or permanent hire. The role demands precision and adherence to USP <797> and <800> standards in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and verify medication orders for infusion therapies, ensuring accuracy and safety
- Oversee preparation and dispensing of sterile compounded medications
- Maintain compliance with USP <797> and <800> guidelines
- Provide clinical support and drug information to healthcare staff and patients
- Collaborate with pharmacy personnel to support workflow and patient safety protocols
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in line with regulatory requirements
Schedule:
- Immediate coverage required for April 8, 9, and 10
- Additional shifts during the week of April 27–May 1 (minimum two days)
- Further dates expected on a partial weekly basis
Qualifications:
- Active, unrestricted North Carolina Pharmacist license in good standing
- Recent and relevant experience in infusion or home infusion pharmacy
- Strong background in sterile compounding techniques and standards
- Familiarity with USP <797> and <800> guidelines for sterile preparations
- Ability to work independently and adapt quickly in a dynamic environment
- Willingness to assume Pharmacist-in-Charge responsibilities if converted to permanent status (not required during contract)
