An opportunity is available for a Clinical Pharmacist to contribute within a dynamic, pediatric trauma and teaching hospital setting. This direct hire role is based in Hot Springs National Park, AR, at a state-of-the-art, 359-bed medical center known for pediatric care excellence and a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Shift Schedule:

  • 8-hour day shifts, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compound and dispense prescribed medications accurately per physician instructions
  • Consult with medical staff regarding drug interactions, patient history, and medication usage
  • Provide medication guidance and dosage instructions to patients
  • Ensure compliance with pharmacy data recording, regulatory, security, and hospital procedures
  • Verify medication doses are appropriate based on diagnosis, weight, age, and body surface area
  • Identify and intervene in drug therapy problems such as allergies and adverse reactions
  • Evaluate use of non-formulary drugs and recommend cost-effective alternatives
  • Support patient education, staff training, discharge planning, and drug information requests
  • Manage medication orders, including supply coordination and inventory control

Desired Qualifications:

  • Current Arkansas pharmacist license
  • At least 2 years of inpatient experience preferred; new graduates are encouraged to apply
  • IV Experience or IV Certification preferred
  • Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) is a plus
