Clinical Pharmacist in Houston, TX

A dynamic opportunity is available for a Clinical Pharmacist specializing in oncology within a large, busy hospital located in Houston’s Texas Medical Center. This 500+ bed inpatient facility offers a challenging and rewarding environment focused on delivering exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with the patient care team during rounds to provide expert medication recommendations and interventions.
• Develop and maintain treatment protocols using Epic and Epic Beacon systems.
• Facilitate smooth transitions of care by coordinating with outpatient oncology pharmacists.
• Manage and submit non-formulary medication requests to ensure optimal therapy options.
• Coordinate specialty medication processes to support complex oncology patient needs.

Qualifications:

• Active Texas Pharmacy license.
• Texas IV Certification.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in inpatient pharmacy practice.
• Prior oncology pharmacy experience is highly desired.
• Experience with Epic electronic health records preferred.

Schedule:

• Day shifts.
