Oncology/Chemo Pharmacist – Contract Opportunity | Houston, TX

We are seeking an experienced Oncology/Chemo Pharmacist to join a large, nationally recognized 500+ bed acute care hospital in Houston. This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist with strong inpatient and oncology experience to make an immediate impact on patient care.

Assignment Details
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: 13+ weeks (Potential for Temp-to-Hire)
Schedule: Day Shifts

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in multidisciplinary patient care rounds and collaborate with healthcare teams.
  • Provide clinical recommendations and medication intervention strategies.
  • Develop and maintain oncology treatment protocols within Epic/Epic Beacon.
  • Support transitions of care by coordinating with outpatient oncology pharmacy teams.
  • Review and submit non-formulary medication requests.
  • Coordinate specialty medications and ensure timely patient access to therapy.
  • Promote safe, effective, and evidence-based medication use for oncology patients.

Qualifications

  • Active Texas Pharmacist License required.
  • Texas IV Certification required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of inpatient pharmacy experience.
  • Oncology pharmacy experience required.
  • Experience with Epic; Epic Beacon experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
