Overnight Inpatient Pharmacist Hospital Setting Houston, TX

We are seeking an experienced Overnight Inpatient Pharmacist for a hospital-based pharmacy role in Houston, Texas. Assignment Details:
Start Date: May 18
Duration: 14-week contract
Schedule: 7 on / 7 off
Shift: Overnight | 7:30 PM – 7:30 AM
EMR System: EPIC
Setting: Inpatient Hospital Pharmacy

Responsibilities:
Promote pharmaceutical care through active management of the medication-use process
Verify medication orders for accuracy, safety, and clinical appropriateness
Evaluate dosing based on diagnosis, weight/BSA, allergies, and drug interactions
Accurately enter and verify medication orders within the EMR system
Ensure timely medication processing and delivery according to hospital guidelines
Prevent and resolve drug-related problems through clinical intervention
Prepare and verify sterile products using proper aseptic technique
Maintain strict infection control standards
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and pharmacy staff to optimize patient outcomes
Support medication safety initiatives and minimize medication incidents
Required Qualifications
Active Texas Pharmacist License
ACPE IV Sterile Compounding Certification
Minimum 2+ years of inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
Experience supporting pediatric patient populations
Strong sterile compounding and aseptic technique proficiency
Experience with EPIC or similar hospital EMR systems
Ability to work independently during overnight shifts
Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail
