A clinical pharmacist opportunity is available at a large county health system hospital known for comprehensive inpatient care. This role is ideal for pharmacists with a PGY1 residency or approximately two years of recent inpatient experience seeking a pathway to a permanent position within a respected public health system.
Location: Huntington Beach, CA
Schedule:
- 8-hour shifts
- Primarily first and second shifts with occasional third shifts
- Flexibility across all shifts is required
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert clinical pharmacy services in an inpatient hospital setting
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient medication therapy
- Participate in patient care rounds and medication management decisions
- Maintain compliance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Licensed Pharmacist eligible to practice in California
- PGY1 residency preferred; candidates with approximately two years of inpatient pharmacy experience will also be considered
- Strong clinical knowledge in medication therapy management
- Ability to pass a competency exam essential for placement
- Successful completion of a Livescan background check required prior to start
Additional Information:
- This is a contract role with a typical duration of 4 to 12 months on a contract-to-hire track
