Oncology Pharmacist

We're hiring an experienced Oncology Pharmacist for a 13-week contract opportunity in the Bay Shore, NY area. This is an excellent opportunity for pharmacists with a strong oncology background and sterile compounding expertise to join a busy outpatient cancer center. Assignment Details:

• 13-week contract
• Start Date: July 20
• Monday-Friday
• 8.5-hour shifts
• Start times between 7:30 AM and 10:00 AM
• Adult Oncology & Hematology patient population

Responsibilities:

• Verify and prepare chemotherapy and oncology medication orders
• Perform sterile IV compounding in compliance with USP <797> and USP <800>
• Review medication therapies for safety, dosing, and appropriateness
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the oncology care team
• Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and accreditation standards
• Provide clinical support for oncology and hematology patients

Requirements:

• Active New York Pharmacist license
• Minimum of 2 years of oncology pharmacy experience
• Strong sterile IV compounding experience
• Thorough knowledge of USP <797> and USP <800>
• BCOP certification preferred
• Excellent communication and clinical decision-making skills
