Interim Director of Pharmacy

Leadership opportunity starting ASAP! 

Soliant is seeking an experienced hospital pharmacy leader for an Interim Director of Pharmacy/PIC role in Huntington. This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist with strong leadership and hospital experience to step into a department leadership position while the facility completes its permanent search.

Position Details

• Start Date: ASAP
• Duration: Until permanent DOP is hired (Could be you!)
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
• On-call: After each shift and weekends
• Setting: 165-bed hospital
• Specialty Area: Behavioral Health
• Order Entry: HCS - training provided
• Automation: Omnicell - training provided
• On-site training: Current DOP will provide training and transition support
• Dress Code: Business casual

Responsibilities

• Serve as the interim Director of Pharmacy and Pharmacist-in-Charge
• Provide overall staffing and administrative oversight of the pharmacy department
• Manage daily pharmacy operations and workflow
• Oversee pharmacy personnel and technician support
• Maintain compliance with pharmacy policies and applicable requirements
• Support medication inventory management and distribution
• Provide clinical and operational pharmacy coverage as needed
• Participate in on-call responsibilities after scheduled shifts and weekends

Requirements

• Active West Virginia Pharmacist License required
• Hospital pharmacy experience required
• Previous pharmacy leadership, PIC, or Director-level experience required
• Omnicell experience required
• Strong administrative and staffing experience
• Ability to work independently in a pharmacy leadership role
• Comfortable with Monday–Friday leadership hours plus on-call coverage

Omnicell and HCS training will be provided, and the current DOP will be available for on-site transition training. This is a great opportunity for an experienced hospital pharmacy leader who can step in and provide immediate department oversight.
