Clinical Pharmacist | Hyannis, Massachusetts

A community hospital on Cape Cod is seeking an experienced Clinical Pharmacist to provide night shift coverage. This 200-bed facility, located about 70 miles south of Boston, is looking for a proficient pharmacist to support its pharmacy operations during overnight hours.

Schedule/Hours:

• Night shift, 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 7 days on, 7 days off rotation

Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders ensuring accuracy and compliance with hospital protocols
• Supervise and collaborate with pharmacy technicians to maintain efficient workflow
• Manage pharmacokinetics to optimize patient medication regimens
• Provide expert consultation to physicians and nursing staff regarding drug therapy and patient care
• Utilize hospital technology systems including EPIC and Pyxis for medication management and documentation

Qualifications:

• Valid Massachusetts Pharmacist license required
• Prior hospital pharmacy experience preferred, with familiarity in clinical pharmacy operations
• Strong knowledge of pharmacokinetics and medication safety
• Excellent communication skills to effectively consult with healthcare professionals and patients
• Ability to work independently during overnight shifts and handle high-pressure situations
