A dynamic opportunity exists for experienced Clinical Pharmacists to contribute their expertise in a diverse, fast-paced hospital environment. This role offers a unique chance to enhance your skills by working across multiple critical care units including the Emergency Department (ED) and Critical Care Unit (CCU), as well as engaging with the antibiotic stewardship team. Unlike larger hospitals where specialists often focus on a single unit, this position promotes clinical growth and diversity by rotating through several care areas.

Location: State College, PA – a vibrant community known for its scenic beauty and home to Penn State University. Relocation assistance is available for candidates outside the area.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct medication order entry and verification ensuring appropriateness and safety
  • Review patient medication profiles and provide clinical services tailored to specific patient populations
  • Offer drug information and education to healthcare team members
  • Participate actively in multidisciplinary rounds and patient care teams
  • Perform drug therapy monitoring and pharmacist-managed consults following established protocols
  • Respond to acute patient care scenarios such as cardiac arrest, stroke, sepsis, and trauma in the ED and CCU settings

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
  • PGY1 residency or a minimum of 3 years of current clinical pharmacy experience
  • Pennsylvania pharmacist license or ability to obtain licensure (candidates without a PA license are encouraged to apply)
  • Strong clinical decision-making skills and teamwork orientation

Schedule: Primarily day shifts consisting of 8-hour shifts with some variability to cover afternoons

Technology: Proficiency with Meditech electronic health records preferred

This is a permanent, full-time position with a competitive compensation range of approximately $108,000 to $169,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
