An opportunity is available for a Clinical Pharmacist to serve in a dynamic role covering both Emergency Department (ED) and Critical Care Unit (CCU) settings, as well as contributing to the antibiotic stewardship program. This position offers the unique chance to develop and expand clinical skills across multiple units, unlike larger hospitals where pharmacists may be assigned to a single area.

Location: State College, PA — a vibrant community home to Penn State University, offering an excellent quality of life. Relocation support is available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Medication order entry, verification, and medication profile review to ensure appropriateness.
  • Provide clinical pharmacy services tailored to patient populations in ED and ICU.
  • Participate actively in multidisciplinary rounds and team discussions.
  • Conduct drug therapy monitoring and pharmacist-managed consults as per protocols.
  • Engage in acute patient care scenarios including cardiac arrest, stroke, sepsis, and trauma interventions.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
  • Postgraduate Year 1 (PGY1) residency or a minimum of 3 years of current clinical pharmacy experience.
  • PA pharmacist license is preferred; however, candidates without a current PA license but with the ability to obtain one are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience with Meditech electronic health records is a plus.

Schedule:

  • Variable day and afternoon shifts.
  • Primarily 8-hour day shifts.
