A Clinical Pharmacist position is available in a closed-door mail order pharmacy environment focusing on advanced pharmacotherapy and direct patient care. Location: Indianapolis, IN
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Possible Saturday shifts based on operational needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately dispense medications in compliance with prescription orders and regulatory standards.
- Provide clear medication counseling and education, addressing dosage, side effects, and drug interactions.
- Review and interpret physician orders to verify therapy appropriateness.
- Monitor drug therapy regimens for contraindications, adverse interactions, and duplications.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes and adherence.
- Maintain detailed patient records including medication histories and interventions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and guidelines.
- Oversee proper medication storage and handling, monitoring expiration and quality.
- Participate in pharmacy quality assurance and continuous improvement programs.
- Assist with pharmaceutical inventory management and supply coordination.
- Deliver excellent customer service by resolving questions and promoting pharmacy services.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with pharmacy practice advancements.
Qualifications:
- PharmD degree required
- Licensed to practice pharmacy in Indiana
- California pharmacy license preferred or willingness to obtain CA licensure via reciprocity (financial support provided)
