Hospital Pharmacist

A long-term acute care hospital in Indiana is seeking a Staff Pharmacist for an immediate opening. This 8–13 week assignment is ideal for a pharmacist looking for a flexible, small-team environment with a steady daytime schedule and the opportunity to take on a well-rounded clinical and operational role.

Responsibilities:

• Perform order verification and ensure accurate medication dispensing
• Complete IV compounding (non-chemotherapy) in compliance with safety standards
• Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff on medication therapies
• Support daily pharmacy operations in a low-volume, patient-focused setting
• Participate in on-call and weekend coverage (shared with Pharmacy Manager)
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards

Qualifications:

• Active Indiana Pharmacist License (required)
• Recent inpatient or hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• IV compounding experience required
• Ability to work independently in a small pharmacy team

Skills:

• Proficiency with HCS ePharmacy and Omnicell systems preferred
• Strong clinical knowledge and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and manage workflow efficiently

Work Hours:

• Day Shift: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Full-time hours with occasional extended shifts as needed
• On-call and weekend coverage required (rotating)

Facility Details:

• 25 staffed beds
• Average daily census of 12 patients
• Pharmacy team includes 1 pharmacist and 1 technician
