Provide expert clinical pharmacy services at a small critical access inpatient hospital over a focused period in June. This per diem opportunity involves working Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, assisting with PRN staffing needs from June 3 to June 8. The hospital has 25 beds with typical census ranging from 8-15 patients.
Key responsibilities include:
- Verifying medication orders to ensure accuracy and safety
- Monitoring pharmacy technicians to support workflow and compliance
- Performing cart fills for medication distribution
- Managing Pyxis dispensing systems efficiently
Desired qualifications:
- Active, clear Kentucky pharmacist license
- At least one year of recent inpatient clinical pharmacy experience
- Familiarity with Cerner electronic medical records preferred
- Strong clinical knowledge and patient-focused mindset
- Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate well with healthcare teams
