Support inpatient pharmacy operations at a small critical access hospital with a 25-bed capacity during a focused PRN assignment from June 22nd to June 26th. This per diem role requires dedicated coverage Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, ensuring seamless medication management and excellent clinical service within a close-knit healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify medication orders to ensure accuracy and patient safety
- Monitor and guide pharmacy technicians in daily tasks
- Conduct cart fills for medication distribution
- Manage Pyxis dispensing systems effectively
- Collaborate with clinical staff to optimize pharmacotherapy outcomes
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Current, active Kentucky pharmacist license in good standing
- Minimum of 1 year recent inpatient pharmacy experience
- Preferably skilled in Cerner pharmacy systems
- Strong clinical knowledge and a patient-focused approach
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work well within a multidisciplinary team
