Clinical Pharmacist - Joliet, IL

This opportunity seeks a skilled Clinical Pharmacist to support inpatient care at a major medical center. The role centers on ensuring safe and effective medication management during overnight shifts, contributing directly to patient outcomes.

Location: Joliet, IL
Duration: 13-week contract starting June 15
Schedule:

• Overnight shifts
• Four 10-hour shifts per week (9:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Responsibilities:

• Perform inpatient pharmacy duties including medication order checking and verification
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to maintain accuracy and efficiency
• Verify and check intravenous (IV) medications to ensure patient safety
• Utilize the EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) system to document and manage medication information effectively

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year recent inpatient clinical pharmacy experience required
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR system preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently during overnight hours
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with healthcare teams and supervising staff
