Clinical Pharmacist in Joliet, IL

A clinical pharmacist position is available at a major medical center's main campus, offering a contract opportunity starting mid-June for approximately 13 weeks. This role involves providing overnight inpatient pharmacy services, working a schedule of four 10-hour shifts from 9 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.

Location: Joliet, IL

Schedule/Hours:

• Overnight shifts
• 4 shifts per week
• Hours: 9:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.
• 10-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct inpatient pharmacy duties including medication order verification and clinical checks
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Verify and check intravenous (IV) preparations
• Utilize the EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) system for documentation and order processing

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of recent inpatient clinical pharmacy experience
• Strong knowledge of medication verification and pharmacy operations in a hospital setting
• Experience with supervising pharmacy technicians
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR system preferred
