A home infusion pharmacy specializing in IV and infusion services seeks a Clinical Pharmacist for a per diem role in Joliet, IL. This position supports patients with acute and chronic medical needs, providing essential clinical pharmacy services in a specialized setting. Training will be provided to ensure familiarity with the pharmacy’s systems and workflow.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and process physician orders accurately and efficiently
  • Perform sterile compounding and support cleanroom operations
  • Ensure safe dispensing of medications and infusion-related supplies
  • Maintain accurate patient and pharmacy records in compliance with federal and state regulations
  • Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, nurses, and healthcare team members
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff to ensure high-quality operations
  • Manage assigned patient caseloads and provide pharmacist coverage as needed

Qualifications:

  • Active Illinois Pharmacist License in good standing required
  • Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy experience, with preference for 2+ years of clinical pharmacy experience
  • Experience in infusion therapy and/or sterile compounding preferred
  • Knowledge of USP <797> sterile compounding standards
  • Strong communication, multitasking, time-management, and critical-thinking skills
