Clinical Pharmacist in Katy, TX

A high-volume 503a/b compounding pharmacy is seeking an experienced Clinical Pharmacist to join their growing team for a third shift position. This 13-week contract with potential for permanent placement is ideal for a pharmacist skilled in sterile compounding and ready to support an urgent backfill need. The pharmacy specializes in compounded GLP-1s and weight loss medications, handling an impressive increase from 6,000 to over 22,000 prescriptions daily.

Location: Stafford, Texas
Schedule:

• Overnight shift (3rd shift)
• Monday through Friday
• 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM

Responsibilities:

• Prepare customized medications accurately and safely per prescriptions and compounding standards
• Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and internal teams
• Maintain detailed records of formulations, ingredients, and inventory usage
• Collaborate closely with pharmacy technicians and support staff to ensure timely prescription fulfillment
• Stay informed on the latest pharmaceutical trends and compounding techniques relevant to 503a/b pharmacies

Qualifications:

• Active and clear Pharmacist license in Texas
• Minimum of 1 year experience in sterile compounding
• Proficiency with pharmacy software such as LifeFile and PK Software preferred
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
