Clinical Pharmacist - Katy, TX

Located in a large, dynamic 500+ bed hospital within the Texas Medical Center, this role focuses on providing expert oncology pharmacy care as an Inpatient Pharmacist. This position offers a unique opportunity to be deeply involved in clinical decision-making and patient care within a specialized oncology setting.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with the patient care team during rounds to provide medication recommendations and interventions.
• Develop and maintain treatment protocols within Epic and Epic Beacon.
• Facilitate the smooth transition of oncology patients' medication management to outpatient pharmacy services.
• Manage non-formulary medication requests to ensure appropriate patient access.
• Coordinate specialty medication therapies to support patient treatment plans.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Licensed Pharmacist in Texas
• Texas Intravenous Certification (IV Cert)
• Minimum of 3 years inpatient pharmacy experience
• Oncology pharmacy experience is highly preferred
• Experience with Epic electronic medical records system is a plus

This is a contract role scheduled to start as soon as possible for a duration of approximately 13 weeks, with potential for conversion to permanent employment.
