A healthcare facility in the New Orleans area is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist with expertise in critical care and transplant to support their Emergency Room and hospital pharmacy operations. This 13-week contract position begins June 2 and offers a day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, including weekend rotations. The role focuses on providing specialized pharmacy services in critical care and solid organ transplantation, making it an ideal opportunity for pharmacists with transplant experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver clinical pharmacy services in a fast-paced Emergency Room and hospital environment.
  • Provide specialized transplant pharmacy support, including medication management for solid organ transplant patients.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Utilize EPIC electronic medical records effectively to document interventions.
  • Participate in weekend coverage as part of the rotation.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Licensed to practice pharmacy in Louisiana (LA license required).
  • Minimum of 1 year transplant experience; PGY-2 Solid Organ Transplant training preferred.
  • PGY-1 residency with transplant support experience will be considered.
  • Board certification is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience with EPIC electronic medical records system.

  • Kenner, Louisiana (serving the greater New Orleans area)

Schedule:

  • Days: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
  • Weekend rotations included
