A healthcare facility in Kenner, LA is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist with expertise in critical care and transplant for a 13-week contract assignment. This opportunity offers a chance to apply specialized skills within an established hospital setting supporting transplant patients and complex clinical cases.

Location:

  • Kenner, LA (near Metairie/New Orleans area)

Contract Details:

  • Duration: 13 weeks
  • Start Date: June 2
  • Shift: Days, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM with weekend rotation

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical pharmacy services focusing on critical care and solid organ transplant patients
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize medication therapy and ensure patient safety
  • Utilize EPIC electronic medical records to document and manage pharmacologic plans
  • Support transplant programs by monitoring immunosuppressive regimens and managing complex drug therapies
  • Participate in weekend rotations as scheduled

Desired Qualifications:

  • Pharmacy license to practice in Louisiana (required)
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in transplant pharmacy or clinical pharmacy practice
  • PGY-2 Solid Organ Transplant experience preferred; PGY-1 with transplant support experience considered
  • Board Certification in Pharmacy practice is preferred but not mandatory
  • Proficient with EPIC electronic medical records system
